Sitting Up!

At 5 months Makena could sit up with lots of assistance from either Andy or me.  However in the last few weeks she's gotten this sitting thing down pretty good.  I took this little clip to show off her talents, but Makena was more interested in expressing her concerns.  Finn continues to do better and better with Makena being on the floor, of course we are still monitoring the many drive-by-lickings.  (You can see more Finn Adventures here.)

Morning Pics

I treasure Saturday mornings, especially getting Makena up out of her crib.  She is always up first, but often is content to chill for a bit while we wake up.  Once up, we usually bring her into our room to say hi, talk about dreams, etc.  Here are a few snapshots from our morning sessions:

Bananas!

This post title seems to be an appropriate description of our life this week.  Having returned late Sunday night from a weekend in SD visiting Makena's new cousin - Anna Lynn Mills! (pictures coming soon) - Andy dropped our bags in the house and we dropped our heads on the pillow . . . hence, things look really lived-in at our house.  Come Monday night, we added to the atmosphere with a coating of bananas:

Early Christmas

This week Makena got a few packages in the mail, which we've been telling her are early Christmas presents.  Andy & I remarked that it's odd to see boxes addressed to our little babe.  First we received a HUGE box of clothes from cousin Analise via Sarah & Dan - thanks Mueller family!  First thing Andy said when we opened the box?  Holding up the green & yellow packers outfit, "Well this will have to go back." 

The second box was a Christmas outfit from Grammy Joy.  Here's Makena checking out the new attire:
