Dinner with Grandma Johnson

Makena and I spent some time with Grandma Johnson this week while Andy was at choir practice. Here are some pics of Grandma showing Makena how to swing the bunnies on her Easter tree.

Just a few....

Crawls! Makena showcased her first few crawls this Saturday (March 24). What prompted this feat? I wish I could answer Mommy or Daddy; however, our little gal spied Finn's water dish on the floor and decided she also needed a drink. Four little crawls later, the dish was upside down and water was everywhere! I have a feeling this won't be the last time.

Balloon

I've always wondered why businesses give out balloons to children until Makena came home from daycare with a Chuck E. Cheese balloon.  As you'll see in the two videos below, this balloon has provided lots of entertainment.  It has also given me a few scares in the evening when I've come around the corner to put something away in the dining room only to be face-to-face with those big creepy mouse eyes.

And yes, in case you're wondering, the sound in the background is that of March Madness.

Scooting!

Makena is moving around in her own way - scooting - as you'll see in the video below.  Andy and I are pretty sure life as we know it is over and we're loving every minute of it!

Here's Makena cheering on her favorite team--go Twins! The day we visited the Fort Meyers training site it was 82-84 degrees in the morning...hence the rosy cheeks :)
