Rouge post by dad again :)

Here is a recap of the last few weeks.

Nap time while dad watches football. She was sleeping for over an hour...which means my arm was sleeping about 45 minutes :)

Making friends

Two weekends ago, we were in SD for a 3-day weekend to celebrate Jacob, Tara and their little bundle of joy to come.  Makena decided she had to come to the baby shower and proceeded to get cozy with MY Auntie, as well as observe my cousin Jessica's little dude - Harvey.  I'm sure it will be no time before Makena and Harv are best buds.

Beatboxing Baby

Last week one of my co-workers clued me into the internet sensation of Sophia Grace rapping Nicki Minaj's song, "Super Bass" (if you haven't seen this adorable little girl, check out the hilarious Ellen videos here and here).  Not to be outdone Makena, with some assistance from Andy, decided to do a little performance of her own:

I'm not a boy

This past weekend we visited Aamodt's Apple Orchard in Stillwater, MN.  In the farm spirit, I dressed Makena in a brown onesie with pink embroidery which read, "Mommy adores me" and the cutest denim bib overalls.  Problem was the overalls covered up the only pink-ness of her outfit and the entire outing we heard comments like, "Oh - what a cute little boy!"  Sigh.  So on Sunday, here's the outfit we picked out for church:
