She lasted like this for a while, although the fit is not yet ideal. She could not quite lean all the way back without sliding forward and could not lean all the way forward because she was strapped in. Soon enough I suppose :)

Since Makena joined our clan it's been a constant re-training of Finn . . . "No Finnegan!" has become a staple phrase in the Johnson household.  "No Finn - don't eat Makena's (enter any baby item here)."  But as you can see we are making progress:

Fun at the boat show

This past weekend we had company in town. Jake, Tara, and Anna drove in for a relaxing weekend. We did manage to venture out to the boat show and actually, everyone did very well! Plus, I think we found a boat (see picture below) ;-)

Christmas Part 1

We started Christmas with the Johnson clan at Phil and Sandy's home, opening presents on Christmas Eve morning and then traveling to SD for a week and then back home to celebrate New Years in style (mostly thanks to the Pieper and Schlecht families!).  Here are some highlights of the holidays - part 1:
